I started with a Intel SS4200 NAS, the board didn’t work anymore (its a unit from 2009). the board inside the NAS was a Proprietary Form Factor so to get a new one would be hard.. but there was enough space for an Mini-ITX board (which i had luckily lying around and it even had 4 x SATA3 connectors ready.
So at first i dismantled all the parts and a hole that fit the Motherboard Shield as well had to manufacture a bracket for the motherboard itself. After fitting the motherboard, its removing it again and strip and sand all down for painting.
after that some more modifications as well an enclosure to hide the cables… now only 1 part is missing that some nice decent RGB LED.
